Delete your account

Delete in the app (fastest)

This is the primary way. You must be signed in.

1. Open the Kam Karwao app on iOS or Android.
2. Go to Settings (from the menu).
3. Open Security.
4. Choose Delete account and confirm.

The app calls our delete API, marks the account deleted, turns it inactive, and revokes sessions so the same login no longer works.

Delete via this website

This page does not include a self-serve “delete” button that can close an account without proving it is yours (that would be unsafe). If you cannot use the in-app flow:

1. Email hello@kamkarwao.com or use the contact form on kamkarwao.com.
2. Say you want the account deleted.
3. Include the phone number on the account and enough detail for us to verify you (we may ask for a one-time check).
4. We will close the account the same way as in-app delete once we can verify the request.

What happens immediately

• You are signed out. Refresh tokens stop working.
• The account is flagged deleted and set inactive. Sign-in returns that the account has been deleted.
• You cannot use Kam Karwao with that account.

What we keep (soft-delete, not a wipe)

We do not claim “permanent removal of all associated data” in the sense of instantly wiping the database. The product soft-deletes the user row. We may keep, for safety, disputes, fraud prevention, financial records, and legal duties:

• Job, bid, review, photo, and chat history that the other party or Support still needs.
• Wallet balances and ledger lines.
• Professional CNIC and verification photos.
• The closed account record. Phone numbers are unique, so the same number usually cannot register a new account until we later release it.

We may later permanently delete or further anonymize records when they are no longer needed. Website visit cookie kk_vid is not your app account; clear site cookies in the browser if you want that ID gone.

Open jobs

If you have an active job, finish or cancel it in the app first when you can. If you delete while a job is live, the other party and our operators may still need the job record to unwind the work fairly.
