Terms of Service

Agreement

By creating an account, posting a job, sending a bid, or using this website, you agree to these Terms and to the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use Kam Karwao.

The service

Kam Karwao is a city marketplace (Islamabad first) where a Customer posts a home-service job and nearby Professionals bid. Launch categories are electrician, plumber, and AC technician. We may add categories later. We are an intermediary and platform operator — not the Professional, not the Customer’s employer, and not a party to the underlying work contract except as these Terms say.

Eligibility

You must be able to form a binding contract under Pakistani law (typically 18 years or older). Professionals must be legally allowed to do the trade they bid on. One person, one account unless we agree otherwise in writing.

Accounts

You register with a mobile number (Firebase one-time code) and a password. You are responsible for the device and for keeping the OTP and password secret. Notify us if you think someone else is using your account. We may suspend, ban, or close accounts for abuse, fraud, fake identity, or violation of these Terms.

Customers

• Post accurate job details and a truthful pin.
• Treat Professionals with respect on-site and in chat.
• Pay according to the payment preference you set (for example Cash or EasyPaisa-style) for work you accepted.
• Do not use the app to harass, scam, or collect contacts to take the job off-platform in a way that violates these Terms.

Professionals

• Complete identity verification (CNIC and related photos) and wait for operator approval before taking jobs.
• Bid only on work you can actually do, near the job pin.
• Show up, communicate, and finish accepted work professionally.
• Meet wallet / bid-gate rules in the app (top-up requests are reviewed by operators; this is platform float, not a bank account).

Jobs, bids, and cancellations

A bid is an offer. A Customer accepting a bid is how a job is hired on the platform. Statuses, search timing, and cancel or complete flows are controlled in the app. We may introduce or change penalties for late cancel or abandonment; if we do, they will be shown in the product. We can remove jobs or bids that look fraudulent or unsafe.

Payments

Unless we clearly launch an in-app processor later, money for the physical work is settled between Customer and Professional using the preference on the job (Cash, EasyPaisa-style, and similar). Kam Karwao does not take that cash inside the app today.

The Professional wallet is an in-app balance used to operate the marketplace (including bid gates). Operators approve top-ups and can adjust balances. Customer wallet, when enabled, is operator-adjusted and is not a default self top-up product. Wallet records can be kept after an account is closed (see Privacy Policy).

Content you post

You keep ownership of text, photos, and reviews you post. You grant Kam Karwao a licence to host, display, and use that content to run the marketplace (including showing it to the other party on a job and to operators for support). Do not post illegal, hateful, sexual, or someone else’s private content.

If you see abusive chat or a fake listing, contact Support or use the contact form. In-app report and block tools may be added; until they ship, email and in-app Support are the path.

Acceptable use

Do not scrape, attack, or overload our APIs; spoof identity; use another person’s CNIC; manipulate bids with fake accounts; or use the service for anything illegal. We may throttle, block, or delete accounts that do.

Maps, voice, and third parties

Maps, Firebase phone codes, Agora voice, crash reporting, and cloud hosting are provided with the help of third-party processors described in the Privacy Policy. Their outages can affect Kam Karwao. We are not those companies.

Disclaimers

Professionals are independent. We verify identity as described in the product; we do not guarantee the quality, safety, or legality of any job. Use ordinary care when inviting someone into your home. The apps and site are provided as available. We do not promise uninterrupted service.

Liability

To the extent Pakistani law allows, Kam Karwao and Protovoid are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for disputes between Customer and Professional about the physical work, beyond what the law says we cannot exclude. Nothing in these Terms limits liability for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence where that limit is not allowed.

Closing an account

You may delete your account in the app (Settings → Security) as explained on the Delete account page. Closing is immediate for sign-in. It is not an instant erasure of every historical job, chat, identity, or wallet record. We may also close accounts ourselves. Surviving licences to content already shared on a job may remain for the other party’s records.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Pakistan. Courts in Islamabad have jurisdiction, without limiting any mandatory consumer protections that apply to you.

Changes

We may update these Terms. The “Last updated” date on this page is the current version. If you continue to use Kam Karwao after a change, the new Terms apply.
